DIRECTOR OF MILITARY RELATIONS (ACTIVE AND RETIRED)

SHELISA SANDERS, PHD, MS, BS

Doctorate of Philosophy: Health Care Administration from the University of Phoenix (2012)
Master of Science: Health Services Administration from the University of St Francis (2003)
Bachelor of Science (BSN): Nursing at North Carolina A&T University (1994)

Dr. Sanders is originally from Goldsboro, North Carolina. She also completed 2 years of college at East Carolina University.

Dr. Sanders has served on Active duty and as a Reservist for 25 years. She joined the U.S. Army as an enlisted soldier and later joined the Reserve to complete a degree in nursing at North Carolina A&T University. She has worked in several areas of the hospital to include recovery room, case management, and cardiology step down. While serving as a Reservist, Dr. Sanders worked at the Atlanta VA Medical Center.

Presently, Dr. Sanders is serving Active in the U.S. Army. Her present duties are at the U.S. Army Reserve Command Surgeon Office.

She is married with two children, 23 and 11 years old. She has one grandchild. She loves traveling, reading and spending time with her family.
