Accomplishments:

Teaching
: From 2003 in higher education-honors and masters, supervising research works of honors and masters

Social Works: Lead a school for underprivileged slum dwelling children and worked as the chief advisor and mentor of Rajshahi College Career Club operated by honors and master’s students

Published Articles: So far, 13 articles published in national and international journals

Brief History:

Jakir AL Faruki is teaching Sociology in Rajshahi College, affiliated with National University, Bangladesh, as an Associate Professor, presently, conducting a PhD at Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh. Faruki is also a fellow of University of Nottingham, Malaysia, in a World Bank and Bangladesh government project called, CEDP. Faruki has been teaching in postgraduate and undergraduate level Sociology since 2003.

Faruki’s passion is writing and teaching, especially doing something in professional development. Faruki published three books and 13 research articles so far. Faruki also runs a voluntary school for underprivileged children in Bangladesh; the school is serving the children who have no financial ability to attend formal schools.  Moreover, Faruki is mentoring students of postgraduate level and undergraduate level to help select careers and find self-potentialities. Faruki is also working in education reform in Bangladesh as Bangladeshi education faces challenges with quality and student achievement. Faruki is enthusiastic to be connected with scholars worldwide that benefits the development of knowledge and helps to enhance professional skills for all.
