To AAN Staff and Scholars Across The Network:

The last year has been a very troublesome time because of the impact of COVID-19. Prayers to all who have lost love ones.

This high priority e-correspondence is being distributed to denote health-related subject matters that seem to lack priority in the global research arenas.  Following several reviews, the need for scholarly and published research emerged in these specific areas, which may assist in the practice of community care and in the enhancement of health outcomes and the overall quality of life (QoL):

  • Food Sensitivity Series

  • Malaria Associated with Food Sensitivity

  • Hypertension (HBP) Associated with Food Sensitivity

  • Cough and Catarrh Associated with Food Sensitivity in Africa

  • Pescatarian vs Omnivore

Researchers Across the Network:

There has been an abundance of research conducted on medical errors.  But, how many medical errors have resulted in cases where states Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) filed a Removal and Separation report? For example, cases where newborns were removed said for testing positive for methamphetamine;  However,
the medical facility may have only tested for amphetamine using only blood work and not urine samples, and the Courts did not consider the possibility of medical misinformation.

Consider this a high research project for researchers across the network. As the investigation of the practices of DFCS confirming medical results are beyond the scope of this association; that is, at this time.

There is an abundance of Internet sources that discuss the fragile X syndrome (FXS).  But, how might precision medicines help in curing FXS?

Consider this a high research project for researchers across the network. As the mapping of genes is far beyond the scope of this association; that is, at this time.

Research on the structure and norms of the intensive care units (ICUs) from a nursing perspective, not from an architect's perspective (article example) or physician's perspective.

Consider this a high research project for researchers across the network.  Although the access to nurses may not be a limitation, accessing surgical and ICU environments are beyond the scope of this association; that is, at this time.

Researchers Across the Network:

There is an abundance of Internet sources that address mutational differences in regards to cancerous cells or even heart disease and obesity; however, open source medical research lacks reporting about the mutational differences between African women and African American women, and in regards to the activation of hormones.  How might the mutational differences influence healthcare errors?

Consider this a high research project for researchers across the network. As the mapping of genes is far beyond the scope of this association; that is, at this time.

There is an abundance of Internet sources that discuss arthralgia and myalgia; however, open source medical research lacks reporting about if arthralgia and myalgia are associated with hemidystonia.  Is one a precursor of the other?

Consider this a high research project for medical researchers across the network. As experiential studies as such is far beyond the scope of this association; that is, at this time.

Research project to consider for researchers across the globe: If/how female genital mutilation (FGM) stimulates peri-menopause and/or menopause. I do not have readily access to women who have experienced FGM, except for one scholar who shared this with me during her doctoral studies.
